New purchases!

I have been wanting a new rug for my living room. I had a cow skin under my coffee table for the last 2 years. Matt and I had talked about getting a new rug for a while but it is not the easiest thing to pick out! My mom and I were shopping when she was up here and I found this one at Hanks. I have really been pleased with my choice other than Romeo sheds his white hair all over it so I have to vacuum a little more than I normally do! But the bowl that I had on my coffee table didn't match so I have searched for 2 weeks for something to replace it. I even recruited Jennifer to help me. I just wanted something red to tie in the little bits of red I have in there. I looked at Hobby Lobby, Target, T.J. Maxx, Pier 1 and I went to I.O. Metro twice! On my second visit to I.O. Metro I found this red vase. I payed, took it home and put it in it's new place. I left to go see my cousins. Matt got home for dinner and texted me saying that he liked my new purchase but that it resembled a bong!! I never thought about it mainly because I don't really know what a bong looks like but I just don't want people to think I am decorating my house with that sort of item! HAHA! Hopefully everyone will see it as a pretty red unique vase and not what my silly husband thinks it looks like!

What do you think of my new purchases? I know I have very modern taste that is not for everyone but I just don't want anyone to come in my house and think of smoking pot when they see my coffee table! :)
