A day from "you know where"...

Mondays are my day off usually. They are supposed to be the day I get lots done. Well yesterday started out good. Slept in, cleaned house, did laundry, made a list of errands to run and then headed to the salon. I went in to work to do a friends hair. As the time neared 5:00 I had to run to the cleaners before it closed. I left my friend there drying her own hair and while walking to my car I noticed a man in a van in the parking lot where my car was. He had the windows down and was staring at me. It was really creepy but I was talking on the cell phone and just dismissed it. I went 2 block down the road to the cleaners and as I was leaving I noticed the van was now on the road by the cleaners. Once again, I went on with my business and dismissed the creep. I pulled back into the parking lot across from the salon and as I was walking back in the salon I noticed the same creeper had now pulled back in to the parking lot and had proceeded to BACK HIS VAN INTO THE SPOT RIGHT NEXT TO MY CAR! Ok... I was not going to dismiss this. There were plenty of parking spots in this lot at this point. I walked in the salon and told the other 2 girls that were there that I was not going to walk out there alone. I don't normally freak about these kinds of things but when he pulled in right by car it really freaked me out.

It was 4:55 at this point and Matt was about to go on the news in less than 5 minutes but I decided to call him since he works across the street and is also parked in the same parking lot. Luckily he answered and told me not to leave, lock the doors and write down a description on the car and the plates. We watched the van out of the window and he sat there for about 10 min and finally left. Matt ended up calling a friend that is a police and an officer came and talked to me about the situation. They were going to run his plates and check him out. I was just so frustrated because one of the things I love about Fayetteville is that I always feel safe. But I guess that just goes to show that you are never safe and should always be aware of your surroundings! So that was bad thing #1...

After talking to the police I ran a few errands and then went to pick up Jason's deli for dinner. When I was leaving Jason's deli, I backed out of my parking spot at the same time as the person behind me and therefore backed into another car!! No one was hurt and the cars can be fixed but I was just so frazzled over the creeper that I think I just didn't even look behind me! I was so mad at myself that when I called Matt to tell him, I burst into tears! He made me feel better and told me not to worry about the car! So that was bad thing #2....

I finally calmed down, watched tv and folded a lot of laundry. Before I go to bed I like to check facebook, blogs, twitter and my bank account. It's like part of my bedtime routine! :) Well as I checked my bank account I noticed that my pay check that I had deposited on Friday was not showing up. I told Matt and he of course keeps every receipt and knows his account to the penny so he asks where my receipt is? I remember getting the receipt but of course it was no where to be found. We searched my entire car, my purse and at 1:00am went through 2 huge bags of trash! Still no receipt! At this point, I am about to loose my mind!

One of my co-workers told me that she saw my receipt at work Saturday. It must have fallen out of my purse but of course when she went to the check today and it wasn't there and the trash had been taken out. So I don't have a receipt and as of right now, the bank can't find where I deposited my check! My boss's bank shows that the check cleared yesterday so I am praying that the banks figure this all out and that my check will return to it's home in MY account!

Thanks for letting me vent about my day from "you know where"! I just hope that all that craziness is over and the rest of the week will be much more delightful! :)

UPDATE: Arvest called and they figured it all out and somehow my check was in someone else's account! It is safely back in my acct and Arvest gave me a complimentary $5 for my inconvenience! HA! :)

Oh my what a day! Poor thing! I hate it when we have days like that! That guy sounded super creepy! I am in Memphis and of course I'm used to being aware of my surroundings. I was in NWA 2 weekends ago and it was such a nice change because I felt like I didn't have to be looking over my shoulder constantly - but you are right, you ALWAYS need to be aware of who is around, no matter where you live! Hope everything with the bank gets worked out too! I hate it when stuff like that happens, it's such a hassle to figure out!!! Hopefully today will be better for you! ;)

take a copy of your bosses cleared check to your bank...they should be able to find the transaction based on codes that are printed on the checks.....especially if he banks at the same bank you do!

Oh, Julee, that is awful!! How scary! Did the police find anything out about the guy? That is so scary!! I'm glad there were 2 other people at work to be with you! I'm sorry you were in tears. I'm glad Matt made you feel better. Thank goodness you were aware of your surroundings. I hope today is better! Call me if you need anything.

So sad that there are creepy people everywhere. I'm glad someone was with you and you called the police!
I had the exact same type of fender bender a few months ago with someone - I was just stressed out that day and didn't even look! Duh, right!?! It happens, at least no one was hurt! That's what insurance is for! Hope the rest of the week goes better for you!
