Good days... Please come soon!

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Matt is having a bone marrow test tomorrow morning and then we are meeting with the neurologist that we didn't get to meet with today. Hopefully we'll be able to catch a flight home tomorrow afternoon.

So far, they say most of his symptoms lead to fibromyalgia which causes severe pain and fatigue. They've also determined that he is little anemic, his white blood count is low so thats why he is doing the bone marrow test. He has ulcers and inflammation on his esophagus from vomiting, and not absorbing vitamin D......but they aren't sure why. Also, the cyst on his brain has grown since last summer but the doctors don't believe it's causing any of his symptoms.....even though it's located on the optical nerve and he has had double vision and memory loss. All of that combined with his Graves Disease could be what's causing him to feel so bad.

We haven't learned as much as we wanted to down here ....but the doctors have been able to rule out some of the more serious stuff like MS, Rhematoid Arthritis, Lupus, Chrons disease and others.

Some of the test results from the spinal tap are pending -- but we can learn more about that over the phone.

They've switched some of his meds and say he should start feeling better in the next few weeks or months. So we are going to just pray that we have done all we can do and that good days are coming!

Thank you for all of your prayers. We couldn't have gotten through this long week without them!

It's so frustrating to be in a situation where you KNOW something is wrong, you just don't know what. I've been there. Hopefully you will get some definite answers soon!

I'm praying for you guys!

Goodness girl! Sounds like he has been put through the mill. But if it gives you all some answers then that's what's best.

Still praying for you...

We are praying hard for you guys. Franklin's mom's Bible study in Arky also prayed for Matt yesterday. You both are so loved and we are all hoping you get the answers you need soon to treat Matt and get him feeling better!!

Hey Julee! I'm so sorry that things are frustrating...we are still praying! I also wanted to let you know that I've got a friend with fibromyalgia...she handles it quite well with 2 kids 5 and under. I know everyone is different, but if you want, I can find out some of the things she does besides medicine to help her. Hope Matt (& you!) start feeling better soon!
