The Fighter

Matt and I went to the movies Saturday night! He had been wanting to see The Fighter but I wasn't sure if it was a movie that I would really want to see. But I decided to apease him and see it! :) But to my surprise, it was really good!!

The movie is about 2 brothers who were boxers from Massachusetts. It's a lot about boxing but it's also about their family and their life.

Dicky and Micky's mom is their manager and she has 9 kids!! The guys have 7 sisters who still live with their mom and they were my favorite part of the movie! They did so well casting these sisters and then dressing them along with hair and makeup to really play-up the part of being from a small town in Massachusetts in the early 90s!

Amy Adams plays Mickey's girlfriend. She turned out to be a strong character in the movie by being a voice for her boyfriend against his crazy family!

The Fighter has been nominated for many awards including 7 Academy awards! It's rated R so obviously it isn't a movie you would take your family to see. There's a lot of foul language and drugs. But all in all, its a good movie that's based on a true story!

Thanks for the recommendation! I want to see this movie when it comes out here in Japan but wasn't sure how good it would be. Glad it hear it was good, though.

I didn't want to see it either and it was AMAZING! Usually I can't sit still during movies and check the time on my phone a lot... not once during this one!

The sisters in the movie are the actual sisters in real life.
