My new love, my kindle!

I got a Kindle for Christmas and I absolutely love it! The Kindle was something I said that I would never want because I like to hold a book and turn the pages but let me tell you, I can't put this thing down!

My first purchase was a book that was recommended by a good friend. The Art of Racing in the Rain is a great book that is narrated by a dog! Obviously, I loved that! :) It was an easy read that is a really touching story whether you are a dog lover or not!

This was the next book I purchased! (I actually just finished it last night.) I could barely put it down, and read it every chance I could for 2 days! I didn't know anything about this book but saw some people talking about it on Twitter so I just got it and dove right in.

Then I found out that it's been turned into a movie coming out in April. And its starring Reese Witherspoon and Rob Pattison! WHOOO HOOO!! I seriously can't wait!

I decided to attach the trailer to the movie! I waited to watch it until I read the book but I really don't think it will ruin anything if you watch it before. And if you are like me, I love to be able to put a face to a character in the book!

I am not sure yet what to read next. I think I may read The Help. I have always loved to read, but this Kindle makes me constantly want to read more books. Let me know if there are any other good ones ya'll recommend! I really love any kind of love story so those suggestions are always welcome! :)

I got a Kindle for Christmas too, and you'll find it especially useful WHEN you are rocking or nursing your sweet baby in the future. Be sure to get the iPhone app for the Kindle! Thanks for recommending Water for Elephants...will get that next! So far, I've read some Nicholas Sparks and am reading a medical thriller at the moment.

Love your blog make over, too!

I still haven't caved to the Kindle craze. Not yet. Like you, I just love turning the pages of a book and I love writing in the margins of all my books and underlining and highlighting the phrases or paragraphs that I really like. I just don't know if a Kindle would be the same. Maybe someday I will get one. But not yet!

I got the Nook Color for Christmas and LOVE it!!!! Here are my suggestions:
Modoc: The True Story of the Greatest Elephant that ever Lived by Ralph Helfer (LOVED!!!)
Sarah's Key (not finished yet, but am loving it, too!)
Dear Alice (can't remember the author...it's about a woman with Alzheimer's (LOVED!!!)
Zamba: The True Story of the Greatest Lion that ever Lived (Haven't read yet, but it's the same author of Modoc, so I know it'll be good).

Also, The Help is going to be a movie too :-)

Since you just got a new Kindle, and I just had a new book published on Amazon for the Kindle, I wanted to tell you about it. Inspired by an old high school diary, three frieds go on a search for their former steadies. Their goal? Sex--the very thing they'd vetoed as virgins years before. Lives intertwined, they share their quests with sexy, poignant, and sometimes hilarious results.
I.O.U. Sex--first love's second chance--by Sandra Allen & Sandra Nachlinger, is available for $2.99 at Amazon.com.It's a real hoot!

The Help is AMAZING! I haven't picked up another book since I finished it a couple of weeks ago because I'm still so sad it's over!

I got my Kindle last Christmas and there was only one day last year that I didn't read it. My housekeeping has been dreadful this year and I blame it on my Kindle.
I get most of my books off of the free list.

I got a kindle last year and I love how easy it is and great for travel. My favorite book I read last year was Same Kind of Different As Me. It's a true story and is great. I took my kindle everywhere when I was reading it.

First of all...read The Help...you will love it. Second of all I got my husband the Art or Racing in the Rain and he is almost finished. I have Water for Elephants on my nightstand. Did you know that you swap books now with other kindle users? Also, if you know what you are doing, you can get library books on it. I got Rainwater by Sandra Brown and it is one of the best books I ever read...I highly recommend it!!
