1st week with Preslee

I am doing some major catching up on the blog so hang with me until I can get up to date! :)

Coming home from the hospital with our baby girl was such a fun thing! We had lots of family waiting for us at home and Romeo was missing us badly!
Daddy with his little doll getting ready to leave the hospital!
She slept through her first car ride!
Home sweet home!
Big Brother Romeo was waiting at the door to greet us!
First pic as a family of 4

The first week wasn't how I imagined. I don't really know what I imagined but on top of being so tired and sore, our baby girl had jaundice!
She left the hospital with bilirubin levels at 16, 2 days later is was 17.5 and maxed out at 18! After 3 trips to the lab for blood work, it finally started dropping and we thankfully didn't have to go back in for phototherapy!
She got her first bath!
Look at those curls! And now that I look back, I see she was so yellow from jaundice!
We were in LOVE immediately!
And we have constantly taken pics and video of her since was born! That is half the reason I am so behind on blogging, because I am overwhelmed on what to document! ha!
My dad came back up for the weekend and he had to split his attention 3 ways! :)

Much more of Preslee's first month coming up...

Bailey had Jaundice too and it was SO scary! I remember being SO glad when it went away. She's beautiful!

She is SO sweet. Both of my babies had jaundice too. My first son had it just as bad as Preslee. I hate the "lab" part of it. It's so hard watching them get pricked and probed with a needle. Glad she got better. :)

That first week - and really the first month - is exhausting! Ugggh, I had no idea how tired I would be. It just keeps getting better, though. It's wonderful that you are taking so many pictures and videos! You will enjoy having that to look back on.

we've never met. you wouldn't know me if you saw me...but God knows my heart...when I prayed for you to conceive, when I prayed she would be perfect, when I prayed it would be all you desired.
Isn't he great??
congrats girl.

My firstborn had jaundice really bad, he maxed out at 21.5! They had to readmit him to the hospital for constant observation. For 4 days I draped my body across that stupid incubator and cried my eyes out. I thought he was going to die. My husband slept in a chair next to his incubator and kept constant watch over his little eyes. It's hard to believe that little helpless pumpkin is now 15 years old!! The most amazing teenager I could have every prayed for!!
