Books lately...

My pregnancy tiredness has hurt my relationship with my kindle! ha! But I have been given many books on pregnancy so in the last few weeks, I have been reading some of those. I am sure many of you have read these but if not, these are the 2 faves so far!

Jenny seriously tells it like it is! I laughed all the way through it! Her humor really helps you laugh about even some of the most not-so-fun things you experience during pregnancy and delivery! I enjoyed it so much, I could read it again! If you are pregnant, you should pick up this quick and funny book!

A few weeks ago, my mom brought me The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. If you don't know me well, my mom is a HUGE breast-feeding advocate! She has helped many of my friends with tips during their first weeks of nursing. I know I am so lucky to have such a huge wealth of knowledge/support to help me try to succeed at breast feeding! I have started reading this book and can already tell that I will be using it as a guide and also a reference if I start having issues after Preslee is here!

Let me know of any other books I really need to read in the next 12 weeks!!

Talking books again!

I am still LOVING my kindle! It actually has caused me to put off house work and getting things done so sometimes, I have to put it down and just stop reading for a while! After reading The Art of Racing in the Rain and Water for Elephants, I read....

Oh I loved this book so much!! It takes a little bit to get started and follow the different grammar they use as southern women in the south but once I got going, I couldn't put it down!

Next, I read this book about an Irish couple that are trying to get pregnant! For anyone who has had any sort of infertility, you will TOTALLY relate to this girls journey! And even if you haven't had your own fertility struggles, this book is a humorous insight of what we go through while trying to get pregnant! It's a light and easy read and then there is a sequel!

I was so excited to be able to read more about this funny Irish woman that I could relate to so much! I am actually still reading it but its great so far!!

Like many of you, I read The Pioneer Woman's blog when she told her story of meeting Marlboro Man, but it is now a published book! I pre-ordered it and it will be on my Kindle, February 1st! I can't wait to read it again as a whole novel!

Many people have recommended that I read Same Kind of Different As Me so I have bought it on the Kindle and will read it next when I finish The Right Fit! I can't wait to start this and figure out what all it is about!
Ok so these books don't sound like ANYTHING I would ever read or want to read, but many people have read them and said the same thing but then they have loved them! I love a series and with so many people's encouragement, I think I will read these soon!!

I will keep you all updated on my reading and you keep the recommendations coming!! I think I may end up reading more books this year than ever thanks to the Kindle! :)

My new love, my kindle!

I got a Kindle for Christmas and I absolutely love it! The Kindle was something I said that I would never want because I like to hold a book and turn the pages but let me tell you, I can't put this thing down!

My first purchase was a book that was recommended by a good friend. The Art of Racing in the Rain is a great book that is narrated by a dog! Obviously, I loved that! :) It was an easy read that is a really touching story whether you are a dog lover or not!

This was the next book I purchased! (I actually just finished it last night.) I could barely put it down, and read it every chance I could for 2 days! I didn't know anything about this book but saw some people talking about it on Twitter so I just got it and dove right in.

Then I found out that it's been turned into a movie coming out in April. And its starring Reese Witherspoon and Rob Pattison! WHOOO HOOO!! I seriously can't wait!

I decided to attach the trailer to the movie! I waited to watch it until I read the book but I really don't think it will ruin anything if you watch it before. And if you are like me, I love to be able to put a face to a character in the book!

I am not sure yet what to read next. I think I may read The Help. I have always loved to read, but this Kindle makes me constantly want to read more books. Let me know if there are any other good ones ya'll recommend! I really love any kind of love story so those suggestions are always welcome! :)

Good books.

I have always loved to read a good book! But I got through phases (like during the busy Fall) that I don't take the time to read! I am always reading online but one of my favorite things to do is to get in bed with a good book! So I went to the bookstore this weekend and picked up these two.

Karen Kingsbury is one of my very favorite authors. She writes Christian fiction books and has many series! Her series are absolutely amazing and you can literally not put them down! Unlocked is her newest book out. It's not part of a series but in her past series they were actually filming a movie and it was called Unlocked. So this is the story about the movie in the past book. Does that make sense?! Anyway... You don't have to have read any of her others before this book. But if you decide to start reading her books, start with the Redemption Series! It's amazing!

I also picked up our former President's book! I watched his interview on Oprah and with Matt Lauer and decided that I really needed to read this as well! I am excited to learn more about man that served as our nation's leader for 8 years of my life! I love American history and think its important to know all about it!

So what are you reading these days?! Suggestions for my next trip to the book store?
