Happy Fall Y'all!

I put up my fall decor last week! I was trying to hold out until October but I just couldn't wait! Just wanted to share my fall decorations with blog friends...

Love this new frame I got this year! It's my new favorite fall decor!

I normally don't put out anything for Halloween but I got a few things from my moms garage sale last year! I thought the BEWARE tea-light candle holders were cute!

Full kitchen view

I have placed the table in years past but it gets annoying having to move the plates off when you want to eat at the table so I decided to do something simple this year!

Love all sorts of pumpkins!

I will put up the jack-o-lantern face and the BOO pumpkin after Halloween but I liked the new additions this year!

Lastly, our office got a new couch! My mom didn't want a couch anymore that was in her sitting room and asked if I wanted it! I have had this maroon couch since college. Its a great couch because it is a sleeper sofa but I think it's ugly and it attracts tons of dog hair! So needless to say, I wasn't sad to see it go! :)

Before.
After. And I think much better!
Eventually I would love to have this in our bedroom but just not sure if there is room in our bedroom now. Maybe in the future!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Welcome everyone!!

It's my favorite time of the year!! I love showing my Christmas decorations to all my blog friends and I love looking thru all the blogs on the Christmas home tour!

The entry table when you first walk in my house!

I added the wreath this year because I felt like the nativity was plain last year! I like the way it turned out!

These are new this year! A friend gave me one for hosting shower so I went to Pier 1 and got two more and then filled them with red ornaments!

Living room decorations! It feels so warm and cozy this time of the year!

Our new $7 stockings from Kohls! I am loving them!

If you stopped by last year, then you will remember Romeo's stocking! He still loves it and will bark at it signaling me to turn it on and it sings and barks!

On to the Kitchen...

Holiday cook book and cute snowflake platter and mugs flanking the stove.

Love Tollhouse chocolate chip swirl Christmas cookies!!

Have to support the Hogs no matter the season! :)

Last year's Romeo and Santa pic!

Breakfast table with my cute ornament dessert plates!

Dining room where we will eat many Christmas dinners one day!

Show us your life- Christmas Tree

So I have nothing to blog about lately! I feel so boring. I was going to wait to show my Christmas decorations until the Holiday tour but I decided to participate in KellysKorner's show us your life- Christmas Tree!

This year, I have 2 trees and they basically look identical to last years! HA! Maybe next year I will change it up...we will see! :)

First is the dining room tree. This was our first tree that we had our first Christmas in our apartment! It has cute red, green and gold ornaments. And it also includes some of the more personalized ornaments that we have collected through the years!

Here is the big tree! I just love red, white and silver together!

I love pictures of trees with no flash because it looks more like what I see every night!! So pretty!

While at home for Thanksgiving, I found all the snowflake ornaments we had at our winter wedding so I brought them back with me! This snowflake was also on top of our wedding cake so it will always be special!

I will be sharing the rest on the Holiday home tour on December 14th! Come back and see the rest of my decor!

Christmas Tour of Homes with The Nester

Last night, Matt and I attended his KNWA work Christmas party! Its so fun to see everyone he works with and have a fun dinner with lots of prizes! Every year Matt wants to win one of the tvs they give away. Of course we never do but we did win 2 movie passes and $25 gc to Olive Garden. I was excited! Date night coming very soon! :) I am such a bad a bad blogger and didn't even take my camera much less didn't take a pic with my phones.

My 87 year old grandpa wanted to come visit us so he is driving from Tennessee tomorrow! I am so excited he is coming along with his wife and my parents! I have no idea what I am going to do to entertain them this weekend but I am sure we will eat a lot and hopefully have a great time together! I will take pics and then I will finally have something to blog about!

Hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend!!

Fall thief!

Remember these...

Well they are no longer at my house!! Some time last night, a very RUDE person came to my house... dug up my 2 beautiful huge mums and took the door arrangement off my door!!! I am serious! Can you believe the nerve of some people?! I am so angry, frustrated and I feel very violated! UGHH! Dont think that I am not going to be driving around looking for my stuff!! ha!

It's Fall Y'all!

Well... Almost! Fall is right around the corner and I can't wait! I love summer time but after living in NW Arkansas, you can't help but love Fall! This weekend, I decided to get my house ready for fall. Like I said before, I love to decorate with fall stuff versus Halloween and Thanksgiving. That way it can stay up September- November!

The front of my house looking very fallish! :)

I just hope I can keep this pretty mum alive for 2 months!

I created this door piece myself! I had the holder and then just made a trip to Hobby Lobby and got the stuff to stick in it.

Breakfast table set for fall.

The table mats, napkins and leaf are from Pier 1. I have used them the last few years but still really love them!

View of the kitchen and the crazy shaped pumkins!

This pumpkin plate came from Hobby Lobby this year! I thought it was cute and was perfect for this spot in my kitchen.

Dinning room fall decor.

Hope I can keep this beautiful red mum alive as well!! Any other tips other than actually remembering to water?

And of course, I had to add this of my cute, curly tail baby!

Now I just have to wait a little longer before the trees change and the beautiful leaves are everywhere!! Happy Fall!!

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn. ~Elizabeth Lawrence

Glimpse of our office.

This is "OFFICE" week over @ Kelly's Korner home tour. I missed the last 2 weeks so I am glad to be back at home to be able to show you our office. I am sad that I missed the Dining room week because of my brother's wedding. I may have to blog about my dining room on my own because it has such sentimental value to me and I would love for you all to see it. Our office is also very sentimental because when we moved into this house, Matt's mom was also moving out of her own house. She was downsizing and needed to get rid of some things. She decided to give us his dad's desk and chair. Matt's father passed in 2005 so we really cherish anything we can remember him by.

View as you walk into the office- This couch has been with me for a long time. It started out in my family's basement, then went to my college apartment and now to this house. It's a sofabed and so I had it at our first house that doubled as a guest room. It's big and heavy so I am not sure it make the move when we move again but it is comfortable for our guest!

This is my father-in-law's desk and chair. He spent many precious hours studying the word of God at this desk. It's a great piece of furniture that we will keep in our family!
Funny story about this chair... We brought this desk and chair up to Fayetteville on a open-air trailer. We parked it in our garage for a couple of days until we moved. After we set up the office the next day Matt saw a mouse in the office! I was so freaked out thinking that this new house had mice! Ends up that Matt's mom had been trying to catch a mouse in their basement where this chair and desk were. That mouse rode in the inside of that chair on a trailer all the way from Arkadelphia to Fayetteville, then stayed in our garage for a few days and finally came out once in the house!!! Is that not so crazy!?! The mouse is in mouse heaven now!

This was one of my birthday presents last year! It's a mouse pad with Romeo's picture on it and its one of my favorite things in the Office.

The bookshelf with lots of books and some sports nicknacks of Matt's that he has collected over the years!

On a work trip to the Arkansas vs USC game, Matt ran into Nick Lachey and knew that I would be mad if he didn't get a picture with him! I love it!! And I love my make up and hair books. These books have really cool make up tricks in them.

Hope you enjoyed seeing a glimpse of our home office. I have a busy weekend and will be going down south where I will helping my MIL move to another house, attend another wedding this weekend along with a baby shower for one of my very best friends from OBU! Whoo.. I am tired just thinking about it! Have a great weekend!!
