Long weekend pt.1

Friday and Saturday night I was at Miss Arkansas. It was so fun to cheer on the girls from OBU and see lots of friends that I haven't seen in a while!

This was the beautiful, Miss OBU, Bethany Briscoe.

And this is Miss Arkansas 2010... Alyse Eady!! She and 2 other OBU girls were in the top 10 and I am so proud that our new Miss Arkansas a OBU alum and EEE sister!

She has a very unique talent. She won Miss Teen Arkansas with her ventriloquist talent as well!

This could quite possibly be your next Miss America! I am hoping that I will be able to be in Vegas to see her win that title in January!

Friday, I met my 2 best friends from beauty school for lunch!

This is Mr. Jaxson. He is Holly's new addition! I was so excited to finally get to meet him. He is a great baby and didn't fuss one time during our long lunch!

I have some wonderful memories with these girls! I am so grateful that we all started beauty school on the same day in August of 2005!

Thursday prelim.

Thursday Overall:

Gown: Miss Petit Jean Valley

Swim: Spirit of Arkansas

Talent: Miss Northwest Arkansas, Miss SW Arkansas, Miss Lakes of NW

The 2 girls on the right go to OBU (my college Alma mater) and are both in my sorority! Whoo hoo!! :)

Miss Arkansas pageant is 4 nights. The first 3 are prelims where the girls compete in one category each night. Then from those prelim scores they will choose the top 10 on Saturday night who will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas!

I have a busy day planned tomorrow! Looking forward to going back to Hot Springs for the 3rd night prelim tomorrow night! Will post results afterwards!

I am so excited that I am going to be in Hot Springs the next 3 nights for this...

I have never been in pageants myself, but I have always enjoyed attending them & watching them on tv! Then while in college, 2 of my sorority sisters were crowned Miss Arkansas! It was so exciting!! Many other friends were contestants during those years. Since then, I have only missed 2 years of Miss Arkansas! I LOVE IT! I judged two of the prelims this season, so I am looking forward to seeing the girls that I helped crown too!

Miss Arkansas 2009 is Sarah Slocum. She will be giving up her crown on Saturday night and have I mentioned how excited I am to be able to be there again this year?!
