Snow day randomness.

Well its officially another snow day in Northwest Arkansas. I haven't been outside because its in the teens with wind chill around -5 and its still blowing snow. Not my idea of fun, but it is pretty! Maybe later I will venture out and take more pics!

After Christmas, I decided to rearrange our bedroom. Then on new years day, we got new bedding! I have been slowly working on our room to get it the way I want it.

These are iphone pics so they aren't the best quality but, I love the brown and red now in our room!

I finally got curtains after 2 years! I love them!! They helped finish the room. Now I just want to find something bigger to go where the mirror is. But until then, I think I am finally done!

But there is one problem with the curtains... Romeo is scared of them and will NOT sleep in his bed next to them!

I felt bad for him early this morning when I found him sleeping in my closet so I just put his bed in the closet. He has barely moved from there all day! ha! Shiba's can be so weird with any kind of change!

I decided to be somewhat productive on this snow day... I cleaned our pantry! I filled up 3 bags of trash!

I feel so much better getting rid of a lot of old foods that we were never going to eat!

I have been slacking big time on my hair chat post. Maybe soon I will get the urge to do another one. But in the mean time, a college friend and fellow hair stylist blogged yesterday about hair so I thought I would share this with all of you that like talking about hair!

Weekend recap and some organizing!

This weekend, my mom and Kota came to visit. Like I said in the previous post, Mom and I went to Tulsa on Saturday and planned to shop and eat but ended up at the car dealership longer than we had anticipated! We did make it to Utica Square and ate at Queenies. We had a great time and I really enjoyed spending the day together!

Meanwhile... Kota and Romeo kept Matt company! :)

Kota was so sweet this weekend! He loves visiting our house and playing with Romeo! Isn't he so cute?!

Sadly... I took no pics of mom and me or of anything we bought! But before mom left, we went to Target and this is what she bought for us! I love Easter candy!! She also brought me Thin mint girl scout cookies! YUMMY !

After mom left, I got the urge to clean my bathroom! I never have that kind of urge so I figured I better jump on it! HA!

This is the after shot!! I should have taken a before picture but just think of lots of product bottles all over the counter and a gross layer of hair spray on the countertops!!

I bought these little shelves at Target. They are actually wall shelves with a towel rack below but I thought it also served well as a on the counter shelf! This allows us to keep out the products we use on a every day basis.

I think I am what you would call a "product junkie"! To my defense, I work in the beauty world so I have lots of hair products but I am just like my mom and we LOVE trying new products!

I even went so far and organized my drawers! I know I am going a little overboard with the pics but I am just so glad I did this and maybe it will motivate some of you who need to do some spring organizing! :)

I used some baskets and even some plastic leftover containers to separate my items in the top drawer. This is my skin product, eye wear/contact supplies, and miscellaneous drawer!

Obviously this is my hair drawer! :) Organizing tip: Put a clip around all your hair rubber bands to them to hold them together.

My next feat will be our closet. I really love closet organization! I have told Matt that if we ever move to a bigger city that has a California Closet Company or something similar that I want to quit doing hair and organize people's closets!

This is a google picture but its so just so lovely! Maybe one day, I will have a closet that looks like this that I designed on my own! :)

I am all grown up!

This weekend, my mom and I modernized my room at my parents house. I have had the same bed since I was in the 5th grade. It was a wrought iron bed canopy bed but it was just time for it to go. I haven't lived there for 2 years but we are just now getting to redoing it! I looked through all my pics on the computer to find a before pic of my room but I couldn't find one so you just get to see the finished product! This room has had many different looks but this one is the best so far. There are a few more things we may add later but I can't wait to go back home and sleep in my new and improved room!!

Mom got a new headboard and night stand. They are gorgeous in person!

These are new additions to the room. This cute lamp is from Target and the rocker was in our storage room but I thought it was a good cozy addition to the room!

This was a rattan shelf that my mom bought before I was born!! ha! It has been in my room for a while now but we decided to spray paint it black! I thought it turned out good and it saved us money not having to buy a new piece of furniture!

This is my closet clean and organized with all my keepsakes. My mom said it is like a shrine to my past! :)
