Shiba Love!

I recently ordered this cute Shiba inu onesie from iluli designs and couldn't wait to see Miss P in it!

And of course our own Shiba inu had to be in the pic too! I can't wait to see them become friends in the next few months!

Weekend with the Shibas!

Romeo's best friend Tucker is spending the weekend with us! We all LOVE having him here with us!

We dog-sat Tucker, our friend's Shiba last weekend! Romeo loves him so much and we loved him so much we didn't want him to go home on Sunday!

They slept a lot this weekend...

but they also love to play!

Made me almost wish I had a second Shiba... But then I remembered I am getting a newborn instead!! :)

Shiba puppy cam is back!

Any of you ever watch the Shiba puppy cam??!! Well, the C-Team was born this week! I love watching these Shiba pups in my free time. It makes me want another baby Romeo! They are so small right now but when they get bigger and are playing together, they will make you smile when you watch for sure!

Romeo's 1st hotel stay!

This weekend, Romeo got to stay at a hotel for the first time! I wasn't sure how he would do but he was great!!

The first thing he did was check out the whole room then just sat and stared out the window!

This was basically all he did when he wasn't sleeping! He loved that window!

He also loved the big king size bed!

It was raining one night when he went out to pee and when he came back Matt wrapped him up in this towel to dry off! I couldn't stop laughing!

Then, his crazy Dad put his sweatshirt on him! Haha! Romeo never knows what we are going to do next!

Day and night, he looked out the window!

Matt and I are so glad we have a backyard for him! He was starting to get stir crazy by the end of our stay and we hated having to take him for a walk every few hours!

We did let him have a little bit of fun... One night he got to run down the hall way of the hotel!! It was so funny! I wish I had videoed it. Matt ran down to the other end and I let Romeo off the leash and he just took off! I bet that was something he got to check off his bucket list! Ha!

I know we are so crazy but this dog is seriously like a child to us! We just love him so much!

Parties and random week stuff.

I love any excuse to get to hang out with friends and baby showers and birthday parties are the best reasons to see friends! So last Sunday, I went to one of my former co-worker's baby shower! Aubrey, the one in the middle, is having a baby boy named Shepherd at the end of March! I can't wait to see this cutie pie!

The shower was done by Katie at Katie Grace Designs. She can really think of every single detail. She is so creative and such a good party planner! Like these cute boxes that we all signed and will be put in Shepherd's room!

The main table was a hot cocoa bar! There were toppings, flavors and these awesome chocolate spoons!!

All the guest got to take home a hot cocoa mug and one of the chocolate spoons! I am so glad that I got to attend such a sweet shower for such a sweet friend!

Sunday night, I went over to Jennifer's parent's house to eat pizza and cake for Jennifer's birthday! They are like my family and I enjoy any time I spend with them!

Jennifer had some help blowing out her candles! Sweet Brody didn't know what to think about the sparkler candles! :)

This is a random pic but last week when we had our big winter storm, we had these huge icicles on our house! Matt brought this one in for us to see because is was SO LONG!! (I put gloves on bc it was so cold! ha!)

This week has been busy at work making up from all the snow days. I am really excited about the weekend though because one of my very best friends is coming up to stay with us! Stefan and Halle Kate haven't been here since August and I am just dying to see them! We plan to eat some good food and just hang out!

Lastly... The Westminster Dog Show was on tv this week! I missed the first night but caught the second. But a friend of mine sent me this link to see all Shiba's in the competition. I loved seeing all those little Romeo's smiling as they walked around the ring. You can see all the dogs in the competion at Westminster's website!

I wasn't a huge fan of the Scottish Deerhound that won but I am sure there were many deerhound owners that were very excited and proud!

More snow!

So... we have another chance of snow on Wednesday!! Don't get me wrong, I love snow but it's just been so much lately. I'm getting closer to saying I'm ready for it to quit! Ha! Plus I'm cold all the time!! Here are few more snow pics from last week!

I have over 700 pics on my iPhone and I would go ahead and guess that 500 are of my sweet Romeo! Here are a few favorites from this past week!

Sunday- He was geared up for the chance of snow!

Monday- He wished his favorite friend Happy Birthday!

Tuesday- Pretty sure he slept ALL day long after our weekend with company!

Wednesday- Still pretty tired so he eats and drinks while laying down!

Thursday- He fell asleep while watching tv! Love his little head propped up!

Friday- He was ready for Mom & Dad to go on to work so he can continue to sleep all day!

Saturday- So happy to have mom and dad home so he slept next to me in bed Saturday morning!

If you haven't caught on... this dog seriously sleeps about 18-20 hours a day! :) And he seems to really love his new bed that we got him for his birthday! I sure love him to pieces!

Lazy weekend.

We have had a lazy weekend at home. It was nice for the 3 of us to just relax before the craziness of the holidays coming up!

Romeo has become the laziest dog! He literally sleeps so much that I googled it to make sure he is normal! ha!

My favorite thing ever is when he sleeps next to me on the couch! Matt snapped this pic without me even knowing it!

I thought these pics were cute! He brought Matt the football to try to get him to play but Matt grabbed him and made his sit in his lap! His little face says it all... "Hurry up and take the pic so I can get down and play!"

These birthday balls have been a huge hit! We have to play with them everyday between naps!

Shiba meet-up & a busy Saturday!

A few months ago, a blog reader emailed me to let me know that she was also going through infertility stuff, also had a Shiba Inu and lived in Fayetteville! It was crazy how much we had in common. So after emailing over the last few months, we decided to have a doggie play date last night!

Romeo goes to doggie daycare occasionally and plays with dogs really well, but when Yoshi arrived he started growling!! I was so embarrassed! I guess he was just being territorial but it was not cool! They ended up playing really well. They ran around the backyard and played until they were exhausted. Yoshi's mom and I enjoyed our chat and loved watching our Shiba's play together! Hope we can get together again soon!

Yoshi is a cream Shiba. (Shiba Inu's come in 3 colors, Red, black/tan, and creme)

This was my first time to see a creme Shiba and he was just precious! Yoshi will be 1 in May so he had a lot of energy!

Today is a busy day... Matt is the moderator for 2 debates between Republican candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. (They air on KNWA Saturday night from 7-10pm for those of you in NWA and on KARK in Central Arkansas at 9am on Sunday morning. Fox News Channel will be there as well so you might catch a glimpse of Matt!) I have 2 baby showers tomorrow and then we are going to a 30th birthday party for one of Matt's high school friends tomorrow night! Whew! I am tired just thinking about it all! :)
